Discussion Director
Write 3 to 4 really good questions about the chapters you read.
You will use these questions to lead the discussion. There are
question starters you may use, or you can write your own. Remember, you do not
need to answer the questions, but have an idea in mind.
Selection Director
Pick the most interesting part to read to your group. Practice reading it. After
reading your favorite part, be ready to tell the group why it was your favorite.
Summary Director
Write a summary of the chapters you read for the book club meeting. Make sure
you have the main idea of the text in your own words. Remember to focus only on
the important details. Do not add quotes, or your opinion.
Illustrator and Connector
Pick a section from the chapters you read that you can make a
connection to. Draw a picture to illustrate the text, and then explain
your connection.
Vocabulary Visionary
In your reading, find 3 interesting, difficult, or words you can picture
in your mind. Record them and tell why you chose those words. If it was
a word you do not know, give the meaning of the word.
